The Void I
The Void I
Artist Ginger Peach Tree created this large canvas to symbolize "The Void". This was produced after seeing her mother's brain scans, showing the stage of Alzheimer's Disease. Ginger was born to a mother who was misdiagnosed when early onset showed it's face when she was born, and later was rediscovered as the years past. The colors represent all the happy moments, feelings that are still alive, just trapped and unable to get back. The black acrylic is the plaque build up, the disease settling into it's new home. Coffee stains adorn the canvas, layer on top of layer, hot pour stains, veins from burning .... it's all symbolism of the clouds in which are brains live.
This original painting is 3 feet by 4 feet and was done by Ginger Peach Tree. It was created with brain scans in mind of those who suffer from Alzhemier's Disease. The black acrylic is meant to represent the void in their brains, memories that there's no getting back. All of the bright colors, and the coffee stains are to showcase all the emotions that still float by without grasping.
